Community Calendars

Newcomers can get information about festivals and special events in Kingston from community calendars. Friends of Kingston Inner Harbour
A community organization focused on the enhancement, stewardship and preservation of Kingston’s Inner Harbour waterfront. Includes information about the association, it’s initiatives — such as creation of the Inner Harbour Heritage Trail, heritage preservation and historical tours — community events, how to become involved, a photo gallery, links, and contact information.

Barriefield Village Association — A Heritage Conservation District
Information on Barriefield Village – a unique heritage conservation district — including maps, a gallery, and a listing of various heritage homes and sites. News, links and contact information for the association — which aims to protect the original heritage of the district, are also provided.

Kingston African Caribbean Collective (KACC)
History and general information on KACC, an organization fostering awareness of the history, culture, and daily experiences of people of African descent in the Kingston area. KACC holds annual events and activities for Black History Month (February) and has a community calendar listing other events and activities throughout the year. African and Caribbean cooking demonstrations for events is available upon request.

Afro-Caribe Community Foundation of Kingston
Founded in 1996, this foundation actively promotes African and Caribbean culture and supports and showcases members of Kingston’s Afro-Caribbean community. Though various scholarships, bursaries, and awards it encourages academic and professional excellence in Afro-Caribbean students and recognizes the contributions of deserving individuals to the wider Afro-Caribbean community. Annual fundraising and community events include a November dinner-dance and awards fundraiser, a “Taste of Africa and the Caribbean” event, and a special opening ceremony event for Black History Month (February).

QUIC Calendar of Events
Includes club events, as well as other programs put on or promoted by the Queen’s University International Centre (QUIC).

Sustainable Kingston Events Calendar
A broad selection of events hosted by Sustainable Kingston and its partners. There is also a separate monthly series of Lunch & Learn events.

Kingston Community Gardens Network
Community website with information on local community gardens, an events calendar, and information resources for gardeners, including tips and tricks for beginners. While the site is English-only, there is a multilingual brochure available in French, Dutch, German, Spanish, and Catalan.
